In early 2018, Kellem became the President of the Global Board of Directors of the International Women’s Coffee Alliance (IWCA), a nonprofit organization focused on achieving locally-driven sustainability in coffee communities through empowerment and inclusion across the value chain. Her focus as President includes leading the organization to achieve a consistently impactful level of service through transitioning to a staff-supported model after 15 years as a volunteer-driven organization.
Kellem has spent more than 15 years engaging stakeholders, including private, public, and nonprofit organizations to advance sustainability. Her ability to develop, facilitate, and implement practical, cross-cutting solutions is built from her diverse experience across industries. Kellem’s career to date includes leadership roles focused on integrating data-driven, applied-research solutions to corporate sustainability strategies; energy efficiency-driven market transformation in the US and Canadian industrial sectors; and regional planning to achieve economic growth while prioritizing environmental and societal progress.
Kellem holds a Master of Public Policy (MPP) specializing in Environmental Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park; and BA degrees in Environmental Studies and Spanish from Bucknell University. She also holds certificates in Sustainable Leadership from Presidio Graduate School, and Business Essentials from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
